Whatever way you decide to travel to Oban by, you are guaranteed not to be disappointed by the scenery. Roughly taking around 3 hours by car, train and coach from Glasgow or just 2 hours from Stirling, the journey is one to remember when visiting the town nestled away in the west-coast.

Oban is reached by taking the A82 which skirts the side of Loch Lomond or alternatively the 'Rest & Be Thankful' through Inverary. Although both journeys take roughly 2 to 3 hours, you will be tempted to stop and admire the beautiful scenery that the Scottish Highlands have to offer. See below for different transport routes to Oban.

BY TRAIN

Widely considered as one of the most beautiful train journeys in Scotland, the Oban train runs six times a day from Glasgow Queen Street and is roughly a 3 hour journey. For times and prices you can visit the First Scotrail site            .
